Then off again with the shopping to do the stony road/stoney lane router over the hill (in the wind and rain) home. more sheep than people seen.

SundayComic: comic drawn on Sundays from Life and photo-reference: We went to Manchester today to do a little wandering around (we managed to take a few adjacent routes so mild exploring). Jack needs to accrue a few hours because this will be a busy week for him so we settled on Foundation Coffee but we were too late for food. Also met up with Esme, which was nice.

Never mind.... late up, then into town with Eve to have a jaunt around the charity shops to see if we can find anything. home for breakfast in the afternoon, after shopping, then out again for a good loop walk up around the hills a little. it's been a very relaxing weekend (if you can keep from looking at the news).

Then a mosey round the park & up & down the canal a little. Wasted too much time doom-scrolling, but it's a way of ignoring how crap politics is, i guess. Ostritching, much?

SundayComic: comic drawn on Sundays from Life and photo-reference: it's the most 'less cold' it has been foe a little while; waking up to see clear blue sky out of the velux was pleasant, but low cloud gathered after the morning and our afternoon walk (the long way around to the shops) was not in the sunshine.

SundayComic: comic drawn on Sundays from Life and photo-reference: the last day of the winter break, back to work tomorrow, so a certain level of denial. The exceptionalism of the day was provided by a pretty substantial fall of snow overnight (3 inches of so?) which got us up for a walk, what with the knowledge it was going to turn to sleet and tonight, rain.
We could only get so far up the hills as it got a bit intense and the drifting made hard going (jack took a video of me losing my footing stepping over a drift and falling over much to the families amusement).
by the time we got home it wasn't yet sleeting, but things had warmed up enough for there to be mush slush on the pathways.
