(Morning) Yeah – all went well on Thursday (prev entry) – Louise was already home when I got home, so my rushing & fretting were thankfully for naught – thankfully. Louise got of fine to have the scan in Burnley (bussing it). She said it was very weird not having a child with her. Able to get on & off buses, go us escalators, that sort of thing. The scan went well – the little, little one was moving about. The size correlated to the expected age of development – it waved its arms & flexed its hands. I will try to scan it into the computer so that I can put the picture with the note. Louise’s mum was just coming up the hill home from the park when Louise caught up with her – having returned on the bus. Eve had not done a nappy that Louise’s mum had to change.
We are off to Bradford now to try to find some wallpaper border that does not insult our aesthetic. It is needed, as when they come to do the ceiling they will need to remove the present border that abuts the meeting of the ceiling & wall; thus a replacement is required. Hopefully a nice day out as the weather seems thoroughly pleasant at the moment. Eve was a bit mischievous & messy with her breakfast this morning & Jack is seeming just a touch rebellious, so we shall see how their behaviour holds.

Buggerartion!
Damnation!!
I was rather hoping to get home early from work today – but here I am on the train after the one I normally get!! AUG!
The transition of shifts did not really occur as it usually does today – it was in fact just a little later than usual – just a few minutes (although it would have been nice at the usual 2:30 instead of the official 3:00) if that were not bad enough, I was the only one able to accept a call past 3:00 when I would normally not have my phone on the hook, even (preparing to get away). Consequently I missed the chance of even getting my normal train. GAH!
I have to hope that everything is going well at home & that Louise’s mum has not had any problems – like nappy changing – to contend with while Louise has had to go for her scan….
Oh great – the more I fret the slower the train goes… ah – good – it moves again.
Hope all is going well…

Plumbing fixed. Please let there be no more leaks. At least they are due to come & repaper the ceiling next week.
Had arranged for the day off work tomorrow to help with Louise going for the scan, but it seems like this may not be such a great idea due to the fact that Louise’s mum is rather keen to look after the kids on her own & it may be taken as an insult that I would help… …So I go to work instead. Whatever.
I get to go on holiday for a bit from a week tomorrow anyway. Quite looking forward to it!
Jack came into our bed quite early last night (just as we were dropping off to sleep). Dreams… He said (stirring in sleep) at one point, “hairy rocks with scary bears inside”. No doubt an alarming concept – but roll the words round your brain for a bit… there’s a certain ‘poetry’ to them.
